Lightning Bugs and Lace

On the evening of June 21, 1903, Maggie Pezant married Allen Perry "A.P." Jones at the home of her mother Mrs. Mary Peters Pezant on Sullivan's Island, SC.  A.P. and Maggie were my grandparents.  The family story is that there were lightning bugs crawling through the lace in her dress.  There were no photos of their wedding, so here's my interpretation of my Grandmother Maggie as a bride.

     (I remember how many lightning bugs there were on the island when I was a child.  Grandmother always had jars with air holes in their lids set aside for us to catch them.)
